ITSA joins the CICLO Project for composite recycling research
We are delighted to announce that we have just embarked on a new research and development project, CICLO. Together with companies such as ACCIONA, AFESA, INPRE, MENZOLIT, PLASTIBOR, and OMAR, as well as research institutes like CSIC and technological centers including AITTIP, GAIKER, and AITE.
the CICLO Project promotes the circular economy by developing new solutions for recycling and valorizing composite materials like SMC. Through an innovative approach, we are researching ways to optimize their reuse in industrial applications, enhancing both sustainability and performance. With a specialized consortium, advanced technologies will be developed to maximize the utilization of these materials, including their recycling. ITSA will participate as an expert in the transformation of SMC materials, bringing extensive experience from various sectors such as automotive, rail, and aerospace.
The CICLO project is funded by the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI) and the State Research Agency (AEI), and supported by the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities of the Government of Spain, through the 2024 Transmissions Program.
